From Heart to Table: Approaching Home Meals & Snacks with Love and Mindfulness
with Integrative Nutrition Health Coach Sandra Diaz
Saturday, April 23rd I 2 - 4 pm I Agricultural Conference Center, 252 Poplar Grove, Boone
On Saturday, April 23, join Integrative Nutrition Health Coach Sandra Diaz for an interactive workshop and discussion about how to make the entire experience of home cooking more enjoyable and nutritious.
We all need to eat, 3 times a day, and it can be tough to make the time or have the inclination to healthy home-cooked meals and snacks. Sandra will discuss why it is important to eat more home-cooked meals, how to set up your kitchen to make it easier to cook and snack smart, how to shop, prep and cook food with ease (including a few quick sauces and dressings), and different ways to engage in mindful eating.
Participants will be able to create their own kale salad from a salad bar that will be partly prepped beforehand and during the class and then participate in some mindful eating techniques. Participants will be also be able to take home recipe cards of dressings/sauces.
