Thank you to FizzEd and Mountain Elevation Realty for hosting a benefit night for BRIW! Folks enjoyed a delicious meal and great live music by the talented Hope Harvey and Joe Bumgarner. Christina Bailey and Jonathan Lehman ofMountain Elevation Realtyare amazing advocates of local food and raised over $500 from their walking stick raffle and direct donations. Thanks to all who came out for the event!
Local Meat Sale October 24, 2024
Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Local Meat Sale a success! We are continually inspired by how our community shows up for one another, and this event was no exception.
We want to extend our gratitude to Ross Aglialoro and Cassie Adler of eightpointfive, who generously donated their time and ingredients to serve fantastic smash burgers, with all proceeds going to support Double Up Food Bucks. Thanks to their efforts, we raised $980 from burger sales alone! Another huge thank you to Matt Campbell of Elevate Chiropractic for sponsoring the Freezer Raffle @elevatechiropt contributing to a total of $1,845 raised for Double Up Food Bucks!
This event wouldn’t have been possible without our dedicated staff and volunteers, including Keith Tindall, Charles Pace, and Hannah Cowels—thank you for being such an all-star team!

Local Food as Medicine Summit March 7, 2024
BRWIA convened an Annual LocalFAM Summit in February 2023 and March 2024. We brought together food access organizations, farmers, and community stakeholders to learn from other professionals who are passionate about healthy food access and to collaborate to form strategic partnerships and to find solutions to community food access issues.
