Outstanding in the Field Award

​BRWI's Outstanding in the Field Award recognizes someone who has made significant contributions to the regional agricultural community.​​

AWARD DETAILS:
Such contributions may include, but are not limited to, promoting local foods, improving farm profitability and sustainability, proliferating home gardening and/or food sovereignty, or otherwise contributing to local agriculture.

Eligibility is not limited to those earning part or all of their income from agricultural production, but should otherwise fit the spirit of the award
.

Nominees must reside in Watauga County or make contributions that significantly impact Watauga County.


The award is usually announced and presented at Watauga County's Farm City Banquet each fall.
