Document the damage with timestamped photographs and video. "CAMERA BEFORE CHAINSAWS"
List the repairs needed and any costs associated with these.
When it is possible, contact your local USDA office to make a report.

Town of Boone water boil advisory was lifted on 9/30.
For those affected, below is a list of resources available in and around Appalachian State’s campus in Boone. This list will be updated as more resources become available.

Shelter:
The Red Cross is located in the Holmes Convocation Center and is providing shelter, food, water and electricity. Pets are welcome. The Red Cross is also arranging transportation for those who are unable to access relief resources.
Supplies: Water, Non perishable food, hygiene, diapers, blankets, etc.
ASU Plemmons Student Union is offering free bottled water and food while supplies last. The union will also be open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and has electricity, showers, Wi-Fi, water and supplies.
Watauga High School is distributing water from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily while supplies last daily. They also are offering food, pet food, baby needs, hygiene products, cleaning products, a limited supply of blankets and clothing and more.
The Instagram account @asuhelpinghand is posting additional resources for the community. Additionally, they are sharing resources others are providing such as clothing, travel, supplies and more.
Alliance Bible Fellowship is offering food, water, shelter and other supplies.
Cornerstone Summit Church has a relief operation at 1100 East King Street.
Samaritan’s Purse is helping out those in need in Ashe, Avery and Watauga counties. Additionally, they are creating an oxygen production clinic at Watauga Medical Center.
Daniel Boone Inn has numerous resources for folks to get food, water, and help if they need it. It is also a center for people to volunteer and offer help in any way they can

Second Harvest Food Bank located at 338 Brook Hollow Road is open from noon-4 p.m. daily.
Pets
Pet Care Clinic of the High Country is providing boarding for dogs and cats who had to be evacuated.
Medical:
The Appalachian Medical Reserve Corps’ non-emergency phone number is 828-263-4178. This call center is operational for non-urgent inquiries and reports related to the storm and can be used to find information regarding families and homes.
Insulin is available at the Hunger and Health Coalition located at 141 Health Center Drive, Suite C. Those in need of it must bring documentation for dispensing. Located beside the Hospitality House. Call 828-264-5212 for assistance.
