Healing Harvest 2024 Recap

Picture
A community-spirited meal with music and art to uplift us all!
Music by: Belleville Rendezvous
Community Art Mosaic facilitated by: Cindy Michaud

It was a beautiful night to remember. The reimagined Healing Harvest supported Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture's work to build an equitable and sustainable food system where producers are thriving and local food is accessible to all. Thank you for joining us for nourishing soup, bread, and delicious apple dessert and sharing your stories around our communal table.

We commemorated Brittany Robinson of Four Winds Farm with a presentation of BRWIA's Outstanding in the Field award

"From mentoring other farmers about raising pigs, to engaging with other produce vendors at market with support, curiosity, and kindness, to passing on cherished recipes along with her products, to being a true friend to so many. Brittany has touched this community. Though she is not here with us today, her legacy and impact as a farmer and beyond lives on."
- excerpt from award presentation

Jeremy, her fiance, was there to receive the award. We were all moved by the evening. Thank you to everyone for being there and sharing in this healing moment.

Thank you, Sponsors 2024!

Thank you all of BRWIA's Healing Harvest Sponsors, originally sponsoring BRWIA's Savory Shindig!

Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture's work is grounded by our community's support for local food. Our work is possible thanks to generous contributions from individuals and sponsors. We appreciate the unwavering support of our sponsors as we shifted focus after Hurricane Helene.
