"Shannon is such a joy each week when I pick up my order from the food hub. She knows me by name, greets me, and makes sure my order is correct. Her smile is contagious and makes my day. To me, going to the food hub is like a kid going to see Santa Clause - such a treat - the best part of my week-I can't wait to see what my order is going to look like - the lettuces, herbs - the freshness of it all . . .
It is also a delight when I order something from the hub that I haven't ordered before - it is so much fun to see what it is going to be like, taste, smell, etc.
Shannon embodies the spirit of women in agriculture - I joined the group also because of a woman who approached me to join the group when I picked up my order.”
