Talent Show Fundraiser for Double Bucks

Village Vision is hosting a talent and fashion show to benefit Double Bucks, a program that doubles every EBT dollar spent at Farmers' Markets.

WHAT: Boone's annual Talent Couture
WHEN: Friday, Feb 23, 2018
TIME: doors open at 7:30pm and the show will begin promptly at 8:30pm. 
WHERE: The Local, 179 Howard St, Boone

General admission: $7 at the door (First come first serve limited seating)
VIP Dinner Tickets: $20 pre sale, ($25 at the door).
Priority seating in front of the stage and a served dinner! The Local will be providing VIP meal options that feature local food items. Vegan, vegetarian, GF, and meat lovers options! For VIP tickets please arrive between 7:30-8pm for seating and ordering. The show begins promptly at 8:30pm.

Seeking Community of Gardens Coordinator
Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture is seeking a part-time Community of Gardens Coordinator. The Community of Gardens is a network of gardens, food pantries, and community meal services throughout the Watauga County. The network includes church gardens, Lettuce Learn school gardens, plot-based gardens, and other community gardens, as well as organizations such as FARM Cafe, Hospitality House, and Hunger and Health Coalition.
  
The goal of the Community of Gardens network is to facilitate strong relationships between gardens, community volunteers, agencies working on food security, and community groups offering food to those in need. Community of Gardens is intended to strengthen food access and food security in the High Country through sharing resources and ideas, as well as coordinated, strategic planning.
