On Saturday, October 12th from 10 a.m. until 12:30, join Jeremy Bollman, Stick Boy bread baker, as he demonstrates how to make great sourdough bread at home. To get you started, Jeremy will bring sourdough starter along to share. Sourdough bread is an amazing phenomenon and a delicious food! With wheat allergies and gluten intolerance on the rise, bakers have had to take a second look at the flour, milling and baking processes. They are finding that by returning to older methods, they are able to produce amazing, flavorful breads that are nutritious and easy to digest.

Charge is $20 per person and includes a lunch of soup and sourdough bread from Stick Boy. Participants must register before noon on October 11th.

Sponsored by NC Cooperative Extension, all proceeds will benefit Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture.
