May 25- Garden Work Day Celebration

5/16/2013

Join Granjeros Latinos and Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture for a Garden Work Day Celebration!

WHAT?
  • A community garden work day and a
  • children’s festival
  • group luncheon

WHY?
Mary Boyer was a beloved member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture, and the high country community. She partnered with a group of Hispanic women to teach English and gardening. We will always remember what she did for our community and her beautiful raspberry bushes. Coming together in her memorial garden fills us with the very passion that Mary exemplified for her local community and agriculture, which we hope to pass down to future generations.

WHEN?
  • May 25, 2013
  • 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM
WHERE?
  • The Mary Boyer Memorial Garden
  • Located in front of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church
  • 170 Council Street, Boone, NC
WHO?
Hosted by:
  • Granjeros Latinos
  • Blue Ridge Seeds of Change
  • St. Luke’s Episcopal Church
  • Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture
